How do you make downsizing easier? I have received emails from people truly suffering as they confront the challenge of sorting their parents' or their own belongings.

I turned for advice to Shirley Eglite, one of my husband's aunts. She has downsized twice, first leaving her St. Clair Ave. E. bungalow for a nearby seniors' residence some years ago, and more recently moving to a smaller apartment in the same building.
